In his column for The Times, former Chelsea man has urged prospective Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta to get rid of Alexandre Lacazette.
What did he say?
The Gunners striker has struggled for consistent form this season, scoring just six times in 13 games across all competitions. The Frenchman has often been outshone by teammate and centre-forward partner Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with the former Borussia Dortmund star finding the back of the net 13 times this campaign, with 11 of them coming just in the Premier League.

He said: “Lacazette has been a decent performer, but Arteta will want a player who doesn’t sulk, who doesn’t have delusions of grandeur — and he could move him on for a big fee. It may seem drastic, but that is what Arsenal need.”
Ending the bromance
For those who regularly watch the Gunners, one thing is clear between Arsenal’s big-money centre-forwards. Whilst they may have a competitive streak in wanting to score goals, and perhaps even outdo each other, there has always been an admirable partnership between the two. The duo even have their own hand-shake celebration, whilst they appear to have struck up a chord off-the-pitch too.

Whilst it sounds preposterous on paper to get rid of a proven goal-scorer like 28-year-old Lacazette, it may well for the be the greater good.
Meanwhile, Arsenal fans have hailed this starlet after his goal-scoring display for the U23s.
