The Gunners took a convincing three-goal lead within the first 40 minutes of the North London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium courtesy of an own goal by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and a goal each from Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz. With the win over Ange Postecoglou's side on Sunday, Arsenal have beaten their rivals in consecutive away Premier League fixtures for the first time since the 1988-89 season. Arsene Wenger failed to achieve the feat across his entire 22-year reign as Gunners boss, with George Graham the last man to manage it back in 1988. In their previous 17 meetings at Spurs' home, the Gunners managed to win only twice.

It was also Arteta's 100th victory in the Premier League since taking charge of the north London side and he managed to achieve the milestone in just 169 games. Wenger took 179 matches to register a century of wins in the league.
