Rosenborg left-back Birger Meling impressed for his side in their goalless draw with Celtic in Norway on Wednesday night, and Bhoys fans have urged their club to sign the 5ft 8in tall 23-year-old up.
Having impressed in the first leg of the Champions League qualification tie despite a 3-1 defeat at Celtic Park, the former Middlesbrough youth player once again shone on home turf with an all-action and breathless display where he showed the impact he can make at both ends of the pitch.
While Brendan Rodgers currently has Kieran Tierney at left-back, Meling certainly looks as though he would provide able cover for the Scotland international, while he could also play further up the pitch given the Scottish Premiership holders look to need more depth on the flanks.

Celtic supporters, some of whom are split on re-signing a player that last starred for them in the 2014/15 campaign, were quick to have their say on Meling’s latest showing via social media, and while one said “I’d sign Meling and play him left wing”, another said “that lad runs all day and clever with the ball”.
