Frank Lampard’s Derby County got off to the perfect start against Middlesbrough at Pride Park when Harry Wilson scored with just two minutes on the clock in their New Year’s Day fixture.
Boro later equalised, and the game finished 1-1, but Wilson’s contribution will still live long in the memory. His smartly-taken, left-footed finish from the edge of the box was a fitting way for the 21-year-old to mark his tenth strike of the season.

Wilson’s loan switch to Derby has been a huge success so far. The attacking-midfielder has been a star turn for the Rams and has developed a habit of scoring in spectacular fashion.
His parent club, Liverpool, will certainly be very pleased with the progress that the 8-cap Wales international has made so far this season. Jurgen Klopp may even have plans to introduce Wilson into the first team set up at Anfield next season.
