A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after allegedly slapping Jack Grealish after the Manchester derby at Old Trafford.

The Manchester City star was called over to the stand by a member of the crowd as he exited the field after coming on as a second-half substitute in Sunday's 0-0 draw against Manchester United. The England international is said to have been "slapped in the face," reports, though he was not seriously injured.

Police have since confirmed that a man has been arrested and charged with assault, with an appearance in front of the Manchester magistrates scheduled for July.
WHAT POLICE SAID
"Alfie Holt, 20, of Haven Drive, Droylsden, has been charged with assault. He will appear at Manchester Magistrates Court. This charge relates to an incident which took place at Old Trafford Football Club yesterday," a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said.
