A consortium of Spanish and Brazilian investors, including Real Madrid star Vinicius, has completed the takeover of Liga Portugal 2 side Alverca as former owner Ricardo Vicintin sold his stake. Per , the new owners will be unveiled in the next few weeks and current club CEO Matheus Ornelas will manage the club until the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

The official statement from the Portuguese club read: "FC Alverca – Futebol, SAD hereby announces that Eng. Ricardo Vicintin has sold his qualified stake in the public limited company to a group of Spanish and Brazilian investors."

The Brazilian winger becomes the second player in the current Real Madrid squad to buy stakes in a European club. Last summer, Mbappe shelled out €20 million (£17m/$22m) to purchase most of the shares in French second-division side Caen.
